Today at the Bugg House
Well, last night Riley and I (Jim) went out to Nat Bailey Stadium to take in a ball game of the Vancouver Canadians. A great place to watch a ball game if you ever get the chance. We screamed, we yelled, we had fries... it was a good father-son time.
Riley started to fall asleep around the middle of the 5th inning, so we decided to truck home a little early. We stopped for a quick bite to eat at Wendy's (we both had the kids cheesburger meal) and we both got a stylish watch for a prize. The chocolate milk was also tasty.
The game was a suprise for Riley who performed very well at his Grade 1 talent show. He sang a song that he wrote in kindergarten and I accompanied him on the piano. It was a wonderful "proud parent" moment. There were tears - and I think I even had a feeling! The song? Well, the soon to be classic "Jesus Christ of the Lord is Good to All of Us!"
Way to go Riley!
